What Your Upline Didn’t Show You About MLM

There are many things that you probably aren’t aware of that you are going to have to know about running an MLM business. First of all, remember that your MLM sponsor probably told you a lot of fantastic things about your MLM Company and products. However, there are many things that you weren’t told about running an MLM business, and some of these things are very important.

It’s A Real Business!

MLM is a real business. Many and probably the majority of people who join an MLM business do not take their MLM business as seriously as the highly successful Network Marketers do. One reason has to do with cost, MLM is a relatively cheap business to start (even with overhead expenses) so the general tendency for a mediocre MLM’er is to run the business like a hobby, therefore creating mediocre results. MLM is a real business that has all the challenges like any other business. Run it like a real business and you will get real business results!

It is Hard!

You perhaps were not informed of this, but managing your own network marketing business is not simple. When you begin,  you’re going to have periods of time in which you will run out of money - in actuality you will lose capital in the initial stages. Network marketing businesses need capital to start, for products and sales materials, and in order to generate funds you are going to have to invest capital. This is a circumstance that you will have to get used to, considering you are going to have to dip into the your saved funds and even perhaps getting loans.

No Time To Rest!

There is a good possibility that you may remain at your day job when building your multi-level marketing business. The other challenge that you may not have been taught is that as you work to construct your multi-level marketing business, you may continue laboring through sleepless nights when you initially embark upon your business, you are employed for yourself, which denotes that you will play different roles. You may need to create an internet site, sort through mail and orders, take care of orders, deliver products, take care of budget, monitor taxes, and perform these duties in a style that displays your work in a positive light and excites others to do business with you. Prepare yourself for very little rest for some time, as you begin to grow your business you are going to have a great deal of work to do, and this is probably going to go on for quite a while.

Just remember that the work is going to be well worth it. No matter how hard it seems in the beginning, and no matter how much you have to work at the start, when you have a profitable  mlm home based business, you are going to realize that the hard work is going to be absolutely well worth it. You can begin setting your own hours, take some time off, and you can be completely in charge of your financial future. This is a fantastic place to be, and you can be there - if only you concentrate on getting yourself through the difficult parts at the beginning.

The Truth About MLM & Internet Marketing

Thursday 30 August 2007 @ 6:26 pm

by Beks

Some people believe that MLM really doesn’t work. To put it lightly, they’re WRONG. I am going to take the next few minutes to explain to you why MLM
will always work so that the next time someone takes the time to tell you that network marketing doesn’t work you explain to them how misinformed they truly are.

Here is why MLM will ALWAYS work:

1) Even in a strong economy people will ALWAYS need supplemental income:

The truth is most people live pay check to pay check. They aren’t able to buy the nice things that they want for themselves and their families. There is and will always be a constant DEMAND for more money. MLM is a simple, part time and low risk way for full time workers to fill this need. To put it simply, as long as people need money MLM will ALWAYS be there to fill that
need.

2) People will ALWAYS want freedom from jobs they don’t enjoy:

Despite what you may think, there are people out there that truly don’t enjoy their job. They go to work because they have to and not because they want to. MLM offers a promise of true financial freedom. The ability to leave the 9 to 5 working world. This freedom will ALWAYS be to tempting to pass up.

3) People will ALWAYS want more free time to do with as they please:

Did you know in a past poll conducted by Money magazine that 64% of American men and 68% of American women polled said that if they had a choice between more money and more time off they would choose the time? People covet their free time. MLM offers the promise of working from home and making your own hours. Again, the opportunity to create free time will ALWAYS draw people to MLM.

Conclusion:

As long as people crave time, money and freedom MLM will ALWAYS exist.

The next time that someone tries to tell you that MLM doesn’t work you know that they couldn’t be more wrong.

I guarantee they will answer yes to one of these points. When they do they will have proved exactly why MLM  will always work!

Network Marketer’s Survival Guide

Wednesday 29 August 2007 @ 5:55 pm

In the Network Marketing industry attrition rate can run as high as over 70%. This means that the majority of people who try a Network Marketing company don’t survive the first few months! The upside of this is that 9 out of 10 of those who survive through ten years become very wealthy. This industry has produced more self-made millionaires than any other single industry in America. What a recommendation for Network Marketing!

So if this industry has produced so many self-made millionaires, how is it that more people aren’t staying for the long haul? First we would look at some of the major reasons for failure and then some tips to help you escape these traps.

5 Main Reasons Network Marketers Fail

Human beings are complex creatures and so it is always a little risky to make general statements. Over time, however, a pattern emerges and we can get a very good idea why so many people start this business and then drop out.

1.Mishandling of rejection from close family members and their warm market.

When someone is first introduced to the concept of Network Marketing they become very motivated—mainly by the income possibilities—to start recruiting right away. Most companies will teach you to start with a list of your warm market and work from there. Even though this is a logical route, rejection from this group can be very discouraging and most people stop there. This means that the majority of recruits will give up after speaking with their spouses for example.

Only lately has Network Marketing become recognized as a viable and respected profession and many are still quick to cry, “Oh! You mean a pyramid scheme”. This comes because of the negative press that many famous companies have received and the general misunderstanding of the public.

2.False expectations for too early results with too little effort.

Depending on the way in which the business is presented, one can get the impression that there is not much effort involved. I mean, just get two who gets two and you can become rich. When early recruits realize that considerable networking and marketing is involved in Network Marketing, disappointment quickly sets in. There is work involved, and any business that presents a plan to you and says that you don’t have to do anything is peddling a lie. All successful network marketers worked for their success.

Many marketers do not factor into their planning the cost of advertising their business. This cost can eat up a good chunk of your investment especially when you are just launching. The idea here is that you have to regard this as a normal business and not just a trial run venture.

3.Lack of focus.

Network marketers have gained a reputation of jumping around and changing companies like they change clothing. At least this applies to those who flirt with success but never reach it.

As I mentioned before, those who survive the early years normally go on to do very well. However, there are many people who are looking for the ‘next big thing’ and keep jumping from opportunity to opportunity. This normally describes the behavior of those in search of the ever evasive ‘ground-floor opportunity’. The rule of thumb here is that you should establish yourself in one solid company before venturing off into other companies. And if you do work more than one opportunity, make them complementary to each other. A perfect example is working a leads company which you’ll need anyway to feed your primary Network Marketing company. In fact, if you find any tools that enhances your business, why not purchase from a company that has a compensation plan attached?

4.Failure to work an easy to duplicate recruiting plan.

With the advent of the Internet and all the new communication means that it affords, Network Marketing has come a long way from the home meetings and house to house presentations. Doing these presentations was very intimidating to many people and so the recruiting chain often broke along the way. The key here is that if the recruiting machine does not have a system that anyone can comfortably do, it will come to a screeching halt. Good trainers know that a simple system must be in place or the trainer’s efforts will not be properly duplicated. If the impression is given that a recruit must be turned into an instant public speaker, giving motivational speeches at the local Hilton, they can be easily scared off.

At the same time, you must take the time to learn the system and become familiar enough with the products that you can tell a friend about its benefit. As a user yourself, this should not be difficult. A caution here is to work the system that has been field tested, rather than trying to invent your own methods. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be innovative, but there is no use to reinvent the wheel either, so be teachable.

5.Baby-sitting of down line members.

Teaching is surely a part of the game of building a strong team. Some marketers make the mistake of doing too much for their down line members thinking that if they didn’t their recruits will leave. This often backfires, however, because the down line members become comfortable and depend too heavily on their up line and never grow strong enough to build their own teams. There is only so much you can do for someone and no more. These spoiled over-dependent down line members can become a liability instead of an asset to your team. So avoid the temptation to micromanage your team; you’ll get burnt out. Teach your team members to fish instead of fishing for them.

Secrets of the rich revealed on the Internet:

Mlm Success With Online Recruiting

Tuesday 28 August 2007 @ 11:27 pm

by colinm

Many people believe you can not be as successful online with MLM as you would be offline.  This is simply not true at all.  Many people create huge MLM success with online recruiting.  Many people have just been hesitant of venturing into the Internet way of online recruiting for MLM success.  The best way to overcome this is to just do it.  Take some action and learn as your go with online recruiting.  You do not have to have it all right before you begin.  You just have to begin.

Online recruiting is not really all that different that offline recruiting.  You still have to prospect, connect with the prospect, present the business, and follow up with the prospect and collect the decision.

When it comes to MLM success with online recruiting you have to remember and apply a few things to make your plan MLM business a success.

When you are recruiting online you have to remember that you are still dealing with real live human beings on the other end.  Whether it be in email, instant messenger, discussion forums or other means of communications, you are still dealing with a real live human being and should treat them like one too.

You still need to build relationships with people when you are using methods of online recruiting.  Relationships are very important to people and is the most important part of MLM success.  The most successful people in MLM realize that they must create strong relationships with people whether it be online or offline.

Trust is very important when it comes to online recruiting as well.  You have to be able to  get your prospects to trust you when you are doing online recruiting as well.  If your prospects can not  trust you then you will not go very far with this business.

The most important part of creating MLM success with online recruiting is to actually make yourself available offline as well.  You want to provide a telephone number or instant messenger for your prospects to reach you offline and actually be able to speak with you.  If it is not you actually calling them, then you at least need to be able to make yourself available for the phone calls.

Using email is a great way to build relationship when you are in the follow up stage of online recruiting.  I recommend you have an autoresponder set up for collecting prospects so you can use email for follow up.  You will be able to email broadcast all your prospect and communicate with them everyday.  This will save you time and be able to build relationship with many people at the same time instead of trying to email each one at a time.

So if you are not embracing the Internet for online recruiting I would suggest you start learning how you can do so.  Discover online recruiting systems and information that will allow you to really learn the process of online recruiting as it will really open doors for you and allow you to really expand your MLM business.
